About ClearHaven Swim School

At ClearHaven Swim School, every lesson is built around one child and one goal — helping them become safer and more confident in the water.

We believe great swim instruction isn’t one-size-fits-all. Some kids jump in fearlessly. Others need more time, more patience, and a calmer environment to thrive. Our instructors are experienced working with children of all learning styles, temperaments, and abilities — including children who benefit from extra structure, gentle communication, and a predictable routine.

Whatever your child needs, we show up ready to meet them there.

Structure Creates Safety

Every Child, Every Pace We adapt our instruction to your child's learning style, energy, and comfort level — not the other way around.

Sensory-Aware Instruction

A Calmer Environment Consistent routines, one-on-one attention, and patient instruction create a space where kids can focus and actually learn.

Partnership with Families

Family as Partners Parents and caregivers are part of the process. We communicate progress, share strategies, and celebrate every milestone together.

Why ClearHaven Exists

Built for Every Child, No Matter How They Learn

Clearhaven Swim School was founded on the belief that every child deserves to feel safe, capable, and confident in the water. This is especially important for children with diverse learning needs, for whom water safety skills can be lifesaving.

Early on, our team recognized that most swim schools are not fully equipped to meaningfully engage children who learn differently or teach in ways that account for differences in communication, sensory processing, and learning style. Clearhaven Swim School was created to change that.

At Clearhaven, lessons combine compassion, empathy, and relentless persistence with developmentally informed teaching methods designed to reduce risk while building real, functional water safety skills. Instructors meet each child where they are, progressing at a pace that prioritizes safety, trust, and emotional regulation.

We remain committed to staying current with best practices in person-centered instruction, because water safety for these children is not optional — it is lifesaving. By working closely with families and honoring each child’s unique strengths and needs, Clearhaven creates an environment where every child feels understood, supported, and genuinely safer in and around the water.

Why ClearHaven Exists

ClearHaven was founded on a simple belief: every child deserves to feel safe in the water.

Drowning is one of the leading causes of accidental death in young children — and learning to swim is one of the most important safety skills a child can develop. That’s why we take instruction seriously, progress deliberately, and never rush a child before they’re ready.

Our instructors bring patience, experience, and genuine care to every session. We work closely with families throughout the process because the trust built outside the pool is just as important as the skills built in it
